Terms of Use — What to Eat?

Effective date: October 15, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Anuwat Mongkolwongsakul ("we", "us") about your use of the What to Eat? iOS app ("the app"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which you can read in the app under Me › Privacy & terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Apple's Standard EULA

The app is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

These Terms add to the Standard EULA. If the two conflict, the Standard EULA applies to the extent required by Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it.

2. What the app does

The app helps you plan meals within a daily calorie budget. It suggests Thai and other dishes and drinks, shows calorie and protein values, lets you log what you ate, estimates your daily energy needs (TDEE) from the profile you enter, and offers an optional AI assistant for food questions. "Restaurants near me" opens a Google Maps search for the dish name.

You do not need an account to use the app.

3. Health disclaimer — not medical advice

4. Free use, Pro and credits (Apple In-App Purchase)

4.1 Free use

Without paying you can use all menus and calorie values, the food log, the daily calorie card, "Restaurants near me", categories and filters, and 3 AI messages a day. Free users can also get 3 meal suggestions a day.

4.2 Pro (auto-renewable subscription)

Pro gives unlimited meal suggestions, about 300 AI messages a month, and the 7-day plan with a shopping list.

Prices are in Thai baht. In other countries, the local price shown in the App Store applies.

4.3 Credit packs (one-time purchase)

Credits let you send more AI messages after your free or Pro allowance for the period is used up.

4.4 Payment

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase. With the 7-day free period, payment is charged when the free period ends (see 4.6).

4.5 Automatic renewal

Your Pro subscription renews automatically for the same period and at the same price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends. If the price changes, Apple will tell you in advance as required by its rules.

4.6 The 7-day free period (yearly plan)

4.7 Managing and cancelling

Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings (on iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app or using "Delete all my data" does not cancel a subscription.

4.8 Refunds

All payments are handled by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies at https://reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.

4.9 Restore Purchases and deleting data

"Delete all my data" keeps your purchased credits and Pro status on the device. Tap Restore Purchases to restore your Pro subscription through Apple, such as on a new device, using the same Apple ID.

4.10 Credits

5. AI assistant

6. Maps

"Restaurants near me" opens Google Maps, a third-party service. Place results, opening hours and menus come from Google, not from us. We do not guarantee that a place sells a dish or that the information is current.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the app for any unlawful purpose; copy, resell or redistribute the app or its menu data except as allowed by law; interfere with our AI server (such as by automated requests or attempts to get around the message limits); or reverse engineer the app except as permitted by law or the Standard EULA.

8. Content and intellectual property

The app's design, text and compilation of data belong to us or our licensors. Nutrition data is credited to its sources inside the app. Food photos are AI-generated or come from Wikimedia Commons under their licenses, as listed in the app's image credits.

9. Changes to the app and these Terms

We may update the app, its features, menu data and prices. Price changes for subscriptions follow Apple's rules. We may update these Terms; we will show the new date and a notice in the app. If you keep using the app after changes take effect, the new Terms apply.

10. Limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by Thai law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by relying on calorie values, TDEE estimates, AI answers or third-party map results. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or injury caused by our wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer.

11. Ending use

You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it (and cancelling any subscription in your Apple ID settings). We may stop offering the app or a feature. If we end a paid feature during a paid period, Apple's refund policies apply.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights in your country.
